This Cookie Policy explains how MortonApps LLC (“MortonApps”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Morton Command Center website (mortoncommand.com) and in deployed Morton Command Center instances. It is intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site’s operators. “Similar technologies” in this policy includes browser local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels.

Cookies on the public website (mortoncommand.com)

The public website uses a minimal set of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies. We do not use any analytics, advertising, social-media, or behavioral-tracking cookies on the public website.

Cookie / Storage Set by Purpose Lifespan
__cf_bm Cloudflare Bot management — distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic to protect the site from abuse. 30 minutes
cf_clearance (if challenged) Cloudflare Records that you successfully passed a security challenge after suspected abuse, so you don’t see the challenge again on each request. 30 days

Submitting the consultation form on the contact section sends your form data to our form-handling subprocessor (Web3Forms) and may briefly involve a session cookie set by that service. The form does not place persistent tracking cookies on your device.

Cookies in deployed Morton Command Center instances

When you sign in to a deployed Command Center instance (for example, cc.yourmsp.com), the platform uses a small set of essential cookies and browser storage required for authentication, session management, and remembering your in-app preferences.

Cookie / Storage Set by Purpose Lifespan
__session, __client, __client_uat Clerk (authentication) Maintains your signed-in session and authentication state. Required for the platform to function. Session / up to 1 year (UAT)
Browser local storage (e.g. cmd_brand_logo, cmd_brand_colors, sidebar state, sort preferences) Morton Command Center Caches branding assets and remembers your in-app layout preferences (open sidebar categories, default sort orders, etc.) so the experience stays consistent across page loads. Until cleared
__cf_bm Cloudflare Bot management on the platform’s edge network. 30 minutes

These are essential to the platform’s operation and cannot be disabled while signed in. Customer-specific settings, including any optional analytics that an Administrator chooses to enable, are documented in the per-customer Master Services Agreement and DPA.

Controlling cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view what is stored, delete cookies for a site, and block cookies entirely. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent the platform from working — for example, you will not be able to stay signed in to a Command Center instance.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change the cookies we use, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. For changes affecting deployed Command Center instances, customers will receive notice in accordance with their MSA and DPA.
