This Cookie Policy explains how MortonApps LLC (“MortonApps”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Morton Command Center website (mortoncommand.com) and in deployed Morton Command Center instances. It is intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. Websites use them to work properly and to give their operators information. “Similar technologies” in this policy means browser local storage and session storage.

Cookies on the public website (mortoncommand.com)

The public website uses the cookies and similar technologies listed below. We do not use advertising, social-media, or cross-site tracking cookies on the public website. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.

Cookie / Storage Set by Purpose Lifespan
__cf_bm Cloudflare Set only if Cloudflare’s bot protection needs it, to tell human visitors from automated traffic. 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Set only if Cloudflare challenges your browser as possibly automated, to remember that you passed. Up to 30 days
Browser local storage (mg_ft) MortonApps A note of how you first arrived at the site: the first page you visited, the website that sent you, and any campaign tags. It holds no visitor ID and leaves your browser only when you submit a form or tap or click an email or phone link. Ignored after 30 days; stays until replaced or cleared
Browser local storage (mf_ft) MortonApps The same note, kept by our form script only if the script above did not run. Ignored after 30 days; stays until replaced or cleared
Browser local storage (mg_test, mf_test) MortonApps Set only if a page is opened with a testing link we use internally; marks that browser’s form submissions as tests. Until cleared

Our two forms (the consultation form and the demo request) send your submission to MortonApps’ own form service. The pages that carry them also load Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that runs when the page opens, under Cloudflare’s own privacy terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what each of these receives and how long we keep it.

Cookies in deployed Morton Command Center instances

When you sign in to a deployed Morton Command instance (for example, cc.yourmsp.com), the platform uses a small set of essential cookies and browser storage required for authentication, session management, and remembering your in-app preferences.

Cookie / Storage Set by Purpose Lifespan
__session, __client, __client_uat Clerk (authentication) Maintains your signed-in session and authentication state. Required for the platform to function. Session / up to 1 year (UAT)
Browser local storage and session storage (for example cmd_brand_logo, cmd_brand_colors, sidebar and sort preferences, ticket timers, call logs, unsaved ticket changes) Morton Command Center Caches branding, remembers your layout preferences, and keeps working data such as running ticket timers, a log of calls placed from a ticket (number and name), and changes not yet saved, so your work survives a reload. It stays on the device you used, including after you sign out, until cleared. Local storage: until cleared; session storage: until the tab closes
__cf_bm Cloudflare Bot management on the platform’s edge network. 30 minutes

A YouTube video shown in an instance loads from YouTube, which may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy terms.

Controlling cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view what is stored, delete cookies for a site, and block cookies entirely. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent the platform from working: for example, you will not be able to stay signed in to a Morton Command instance.
